The discussion at the conference covered both those specific
issues raised in the reports prepared by five task forces and
more general issues related to Pacific economic cooperation. The
discussion at the conference were highly productive, providing a
comprehensive review of opportunities for Pacific economic
cooperation and a timely exchange of ideas for their exploration.
The success of the conference affirmed the value of the unique
tripartite structure of the PECC and led to an agreement on an
accelerated program for PECC activities.
This report has been prepared to document the proceedings
and results of the conference. Part A consists of formal
